Our Mission
Inward Quest is an Indianapolis, Indiana organization providing personal growth workshops, seminars, and retreats. Our mission is to inspire you to hear your inner wisdom, encourage you to become aware of your conditioning and choices, and empower you to recognize your own value, so that you can experience peace, love, joy, and delight, and contribute to a conscious, cooperative community.
Our Students
Who attends our workshops?
You'll meet kindred spirits at our workshops if you're someone who asks yourself questions like:- How can I connect my head and my heart?
- How can I DO less and BE more?
- Where do I want my life to go from here?
- Why do I feel like this, again?
- How can I bring meaning and purpose to life?
- Is there more possibility in the universe than what I perceive on the surface?
- How can I experience less stress and more satisfaction?
- How can I rekindle my creativity?
- How can I release my conditioning and live my life by choice?
- How can I challenge myself to live a powerfully authentic life?
Who can benefit from our workshops?
- Entrepreneurs, small business owners, consultants, commissioned salespeople, athletes... those whose success requires personal motivation
- Artists, craftspeople, artisans, hobbyists... those who value creativity and self-expression
- Anyone beginning a career, changing careers, new parents, empty nesters, ending relationships, beginning relationships, starting out, starting over, burnt out... those whose life is taking a new direction
- Healers, parents, teachers... those who serve others
- Spiritual seekers, dreamers, mystics, philosophers, avid readers... those who are curious about mind and spirit
Our Method
Our workshops provide you with fascinating, profound, transformative experiences that give you a wealth of knowledge and techniques to apply towards your personal development:- Practical, hands-on skills that you can use each day to increase your personal effectiveness
- Awareness and acceptance exercises from mindfulness practice that allow you to silence your inner critic and experience peace and serenity
- Symbolic emotional experiences that give you a "sneak preview" of how good you will feel when you make new choices
This combination of information for your head and support for your heart gives you the intellectual and emotional confidence you need to succeed.
Our model for change is to "ACCEPT" yourself. You can learn more about this in our free e-booklet, "Accept Yourself: The Path to Conscious Change," which you can download from our website when you sign up for our newsletter.
Along with our one-day workshops and weekend retreats, we are also available to inspire personal development at your business, club, or organization. Learn more...
Our Difference
Not therapy
The difference between therapy and personal growth work is the difference between a doctor and a personal trainer. A doctor heals the body. A personal trainer helps you develop and improve your body. Similarly, a counselor helps heal your mind, emotions, and psyche, while personal growth workshops help you develop and improve your mind, heart, and spirit. Think of us as your emotional fitness trainers!
Not life coaching
Life coaches give you ongoing support to help you set and achieve goals, and usually require a commitment of several months. Personal growth workshops invite you to invest just a day or weekend in yourself, and do not focus on setting goals. Instead, we give you the opportunity to understand yourself as you are now, clear away anything that gets in the way of self-acceptance, and learn tools you can apply to your own ongoing growth. After the transformation you will experience at one of our workshops, any goals you may choose to set or dreams you want to pursue have a far greater chance of succeeding!
Thus, personal growth workshops can be an alternative to life coaching for those who don't want an ongoing commitment of time and money, or a useful enhancement to coaching work.
Not hype
Many personal growth coaches and motivational speakers seem to want to lure you to their events with outrageous claims of fame, fortune, and popularity. We certainly believe that this level of living is possible! We also realize that not everyone is looking for radical change. If what you truly want is to get along better with friends, family, and colleagues – if you want to live the life you're already living, but enjoy it more – we can provide help, not hype.
Though we are positive that you could if you chose, we won’t promise that tomorrow you'll be a millionaire (unless you are already!). But we will tell you with confidence backed by experience, that if you are open to the possibility of change, even if you don't know how; if you are willing to try new ways of thinking; and if you attend our workshops with this attitude, you will learn to be more delighted and fulfilled in whatever life you lead.

Our Dream
Our dream is for those who attend our workshops to share what they’ve learned about personal development with others, perhaps even assisting us at other workshops. Together we can co-create a community that inspires, encourages, empowers, and respects one another, to bring more delight to all our lives.
A final note
It's very difficult to describe our workshops on a web page. The most effective way we know to explain our work is to let you experience for yourself how fascinating this kind of personal growth work can be, and how profound an experience you can have, through one of our free one-hour seminars. If you are at all curious, please join us and evaluate the experience for yourself!
